At first, I reached for the non-alcoholic beers, tequilas, and gins already on the market. But I quickly ran into a problem—finding anything local was nearly impossible, and shopping brand by brand online was exhausting.
My area had such a limited selection, which meant I was ordering directly from brand websites or scouring stores, hoping for something new to pop up.
I’d occasionally stumble upon a new NA beer at the grocery store or spot a bottle of NA wine here and there. But it was rare.
It wasn’t until 2024 that I started spotting mocktail mixers tucked away in local gift shops and boutiques. The whole process of discovering alcohol alternatives felt incredibly frustrating and discouraging.
